Vodstvo 18. Chopinovega tekmovanja v Varšavi je pred nekaj minutami objavilo rezultate drugega kroga svetovnega tekmovanja najboljših mladih pianistov na svetu. Iz objavljenih rezultatov je razvidno, da se je v tretji krog tekmovanja, ki se bo začelo 14. oktobra ob 10. uri, uvrstil tudi slovenski pianist Aleksander Gadžijev.

We are half way through the auditions of the 18th Chopin Competition! During Stage 2 lasting from 9 to 12 October, we’ve listened to 45 pianists.

By the verdict of the Jury of the 18th Fryderyk Chopin International Piano Competition presided over by Professor Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń 23 participants from 11 countries, including 6 from Poland, 5 from Japan, 3 from Italy, 2 from Canada, Russia, South Korea qualified to the penultimate Stage 3.

The third stage will last from 14 to 16 October. The auditions will be held in two sessions, with the morning session starting at 10:00am CEST, and the evening session starting at 5:00pm CEST. Detailed day timetables can be found in the Calendar tab.
Each pianist will perform a 50-minute recital including one of two sonatas (Op. 35 or Op. 58), unless they played them at an earlier stage, or the complete Preludes Op. 28 and a selected cycle of mazurkas.
All the performances can be watched live online in 4K in a mobile app (iOS and Android), Chopin2020.pl website (Multimedia tab), Chopin Institute’s YouTube channel, in Smart TV app for Samsung televisions. They are also broadcast live by TVP Kultura and aired by Polish Radio 2 and Radio Chopin.
