I can’t listen to him without a thrill all over my body. You can listen to this kind of music again and again and you never get bored. He plays at the highest level.

The sound SIGERU KAWAI makes is gentle and pleasing to the ear. This Ballade in F minor is my kind of thing.

When I noticed, I stopped all my hands and listened to his performance. Even as an amateur, the wonderfulness of his performance was conveyed to me. bravo!!!

Another strong contestant! Brilliantly brings out inner voice. I hope to see him in Final

Outstanding performance!!!

Probably my fave from this morning session? Was great being there

He’s definitely a finalist.

So beautiful and touchy.

Great playing on a great piano. Unfortunately playing a Steinway is traditional, the sound everybody’s used to. I hope one day Kawai takes over, as in many ways it’s a better instrument. Listen to it sing toward the end!

Wonderful playing!

What a wonderful pianist!

fantastico!!!

Marvellous opening – like the colour

Congrats on making it to second stage!!!

Excellent playing! All this would have sounded better on Steinay or Fazioli. High register sounds like a toy piano, I don’t hear the volume of the bass in this instrument.

Very personal, deep. Etude cis with highest understanding. We need this kind of musicians today

Definetely no 1
